Position Overview
This role sits on a platform team that designs, provisions, and operates the AWS infrastructure business units rely on for data, serverless, and container workloads, giving application teams secure, standardized foundations to build on.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision and operate data and serverless infrastructure, including S3, Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, and DynamoDB.
- Build, upgrade, and maintain Amazon EKS clusters and ECS/Fargate environments.
- Automate infrastructure delivery using reusable CloudFormation templates and GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Design and troubleshoot VPC networking, load balancers (ALB/NLB), IAM, KMS, and cross-account access.
- Onboard new business unit environments, estimate costs, and provide production infrastructure support.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for business unit customers, guiding requirements, setting clear expectations, and resolving issues quickly.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree AND 5–7 years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure engineering.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification required.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience building and operating AWS infrastructure in a multi-account environment, including governance through SCPs and permission boundaries.
- Infrastructure-as-code expertise, with CloudFormation strongly preferred.
- Scripting in Python and/or Bash for automation.
- Strong customer focus and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical options clearly to teams without AWS expertise.

Salary Expectations: $105,000-110,000 annually
