Job Description
· Quality Assurance (QA) provides governance, oversight, and technical leadership of the refinery's quality management system to ensure compliance with corporate requirements, engineering specifications, industry codes, and regulatory standards.
· The QA organization partners with Maintenance, Reliability, Turnaround (TAR), Projects, Procurement, and Operations to establish quality requirements, qualify suppliers and contractors, perform audits, investigate quality events, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
· Through field verification, quality surveillance, and detailed document review, QA verifies that materials, fabrication, repairs, inspections, testing, and turnover documentation meet applicable requirements before assets are placed into service.
· Acting as the owner's representative for quality, QA ensures work is executed Right the First Time through risk-based verification, contractor oversight, lessons learned, and compliance monitoring.
· This function serves as a critical barrier protecting personnel safety, mechanical integrity, operational reliability, and refinery performance while fostering a culture where today's quality is tomorrow's safety.
