219206 FOL Iceland Attendant

JOB SUMMARY: Iceland Attendants distribute and receive parkas/jackets for guests visiting Iceland. They are also responsible for monitoring guest interactions inside of the exhibit. Attendants also assist with housekeeping throughout the exhibit.

POSITION AUTHORITY:

The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.

POSITION GUIDELINES:

Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives. The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with opening procedures, including cleaning preshow area, queue lines, inside Ice Land, and parka room
• Provide positive guest interactions while distributing and receiving parkas/jackets
• Keeping parka/jacket bins organized
• Assist with moving parka/jacket bins to the Hotel for cleaning
• Monitor guest safety inside the exhibit, this includes enforcing safety rules

• Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must be reliable and responsible
• Must be able to work well with large groups
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a cold environment for up to one hour (9 degrees)
• Ability to carry or push 30lbs
