ICI Windsor’s morning radio show Matins sans frontières is looking for a reporter assigned to arts and culture across all of our platforms, with a primary focus on radio.
Your primary responsibility is to conceive and produce audio content focused on the culture and community life of the region, while occasionally adapting it into web and digital video formats with support.
Creative and curious, you know how to unearth original stories. You have a strong interest in community life, Franco-Ontarian arts and culture, and Francophone communities in all their diversity. Team-oriented and resilient under pressure, you have a thorough command of CBC/Radio-Canada’s journalistic standards and practices.
In this role, you will be the driving force behind our cultural and local engagement strategy. Your mission: design captivating audio and video content on the arts to engage and grow our audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
- Pitch story ideas and produce daily radio reports and/or interviews.
- Build and maintain a network of contacts within the Francophone cultural and community sectors in Windsor, London, and the surrounding areas.
- Monitor news related to the arts, cultural, and community sectors in Southwestern Ontario.
- Occasionally adapt interviews and content for other platforms—such as the shows La billetterie and L’Escale culturelle—or into vertical videos and radio-visual content.
- Participate in regional media editorial committees to highlight cultural content from the Windsor station.
- Participate in coverage plans and special deployments as needed.
This role requires full-time on-site presence.
Your profile:
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Three (3) years of directly relevant experience in the field.
- Superior writing skills.
- Proven ability to present interviews and reports on air.
- Ability to select relevant, audience-focused stories that reflect issues being discussed by the general public.
- Strong curiosity and the ability to easily build rapport with people.
- In-depth knowledge of Southwestern Ontario’s cultural landscape.
- Innovative mindset.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
- Commitment to reflecting the community and its diversity.
- Must hold a valid driver’s licence
- Fluency in French (oral and written).
- Advanced oral, written, and reading skills in English.
Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
