About the role
Location Assistant
Muscatine, Iowa | Full-Time | On-Site
7:30 am – 5 pm
Pay: $60,000–$80,000, based on experience
An established agricultural equipment dealership is seeking a Location Assistant who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and keeps the store running smoothly for customers and coworkers.
This is a hands-on role supporting the whole store and the location’s leadership. When store leaders are out with customers, you help keep things moving: the parts counter, incoming inventory, service scheduling, and the front office. You’ll work across departments as store needs change.
We welcome experienced retail, parts, or office professionals and dependable people ready to grow into more responsibility. You need honesty, initiative, follow-through, and a willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Help customers and technicians identify, locate, and order parts.
- Receive, inspect, organize, and stock incoming parts and accessories.
- Assist with parts deliveries and pickups.
- Help coordinate service schedules, work orders, and customer updates.
- Support the office with phones, payments, and paperwork.
- Cover day-to-day store needs while store leaders are working with customers in the field.
- Keep work areas organized, safe, and ready for customers.
Who Would Thrive Here
- Someone who jumps in wherever help is needed.
- A dependable, honest person who cares about customers and coworkers.
- Someone comfortable with changing priorities and busy planting and harvest seasons.
- A curious, coachable person who wants to learn the whole dealership.
Experience and Qualifications
- Two or more years of work experience, including customer-facing responsibilities.
- Comfortable using computers and learning inventory and business systems.
- Parts, service, agriculture, equipment, retail, office, or logistics experience is helpful.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment and John Deere products is a plus.
- Forklift or material-handling experience is helpful; training provided.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Schedule and Growth
This position works across office, parts counter, warehouse, shop, and outdoor areas. Occasional early mornings, evenings, Saturdays, or extended hours may be needed.
The role offers broad dealership experience and room to grow as skills and business needs align.
