About the role
Hamilton Public School is a key part of our local community, known for our dedication to continuous improvement and high educational standards. We prioritise our students in decision-making, creating a supportive environment where everyone—students, staff, and families - feels valued and empowered.
With 315 students, our school reflects the community's diverse backgrounds. Our motto, "Children of the World," highlights our commitment to inclusivity, with 5% of our students identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and 15-20% from non-English speaking backgrounds. We work closely with the Muloobinbah Local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group to incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures into our curriculum.
We are committed to the overall development of every child, embracing High Potential and Gifted Education principles. We provide a wide range of extracurricular activities, including cultural programs, sports, and arts, as well as outdoor learning initiatives like our Blue Gate Garden. These programs enhance environmental awareness, social skills, and resilience while fostering a connection to nature.
Student voice is important to us, and we encourage participation in decision-making through student-led initiatives, the Student Representative Council, and leadership teams. Our focus on wellbeing is supported by programs like Grow Your Mind and Martial Arts Therapy, promoting both emotional growth and resilience.
