Assistant Production Scheduler

1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced Assistant production Scheduler. The Assistant Production Scheduler will receive the production schedule from the Planner and will be responsible to Communicate completion dates with customers, as well as respond to inquiries and provide updates on shipping commitments. The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to effectively interface with production, customer service, and management. Must also have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Stay in contact with the 1st shift supervisor/planner and multi-process planner. ‘
• Communicate daily with customers via phone and email to keep them abreast of delivery issues.
• Relay customer requests to the planners, gather updated information and reply to the customer.
• Update shipping list daily to ensure shipment is made.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year experience as a planner and/or customer service.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematics, i.e., add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to count parts and reconcile against travelers.
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Strong communication skills.
