About the role
Position Overview
PINE Advisor Solutions, a Centralis company, is seeking an entry-level Associate to join our Managed Services Operations team. This individual will solve operational problems, build solutions, and reduce the manual, recurring work behind PINE’s compliance services, supporting our Adviser Compliance Services (ACSS) team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
In this role, you will configure and maintain compliance platforms, build and monitor broker data feeds, reconcile transaction and holdings data, identify the manual steps worth automating, and build AI-assisted processes that make work faster, more consistent, and easier to scale. You will turn that analysis into standardized reporting and dashboards and design automated, repeatable processes that scale across PINE’s client base, allowing ACSS client teams to focus on compliance determinations and client relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career professional with a background in data analytics, information systems, trade operations, or a related field to build expertise in data operations and compliance technology, with exposure to investment adviser regulation developing over time.
About PINE
PINE Advisor Solutions ("PINE") is a dynamic and growing organization that provides institutional-quality outsourced solutions for funds and investment managers. Our team is driven by the belief that we are contributing to something remarkable.
At PINE, we prioritize client service and a collaborative culture. The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and thrive in a high-performing and supportive environment. Our culture is built around an “all for one and one for all” philosophy. Your contributions matter, and we are a team that embraces challenges and believes in growing through doing.
Responsibilities
- Map how recurring compliance work gets done today and identify the manual, repetitive steps worth automating, starting with those that take the most time
- Build and maintain AI-assisted workflows for recurring work, such as drafting monthly COE reports, writing up trading exceptions for client team review, flagging reconciliation breaks, and following up on stale preclearance requests
- Build responsibly by using firm approved tools, protecting client data, testing before rollout, documenting how each workflow works, and integrating human review of client facing data
- Track time spent on recurring tasks before and after each change, and report hours saved and adoption to leadership
- Train teammates, client employees, and client approvers on our platforms and new workflows, and refine each workflow based on their feedback
- Take on automation requests from other ACSS teams as the program grows, extending what you build across PINE’s client base where applicable
- Administer Code of Ethics programs for adviser clients on compliance platforms such as Hadrius, MCO, ComplySci, and Compliance Alpha, including onboarding, rule configuration and testing, broker data feed monitoring and reconciliation, preclearance, periodic reporting, certifications, and restricted list updates
- Test employee trades against preclearance, restricted list, holding period, and blackout rules, document exceptions for client team determination, and prepare monthly COE reports and records for regulatory exam requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, finance, business, economics, or a related field required; relevant coursework in data management, data analysis, or financial markets is a plus
- 0-2 years of experience (including internships) in a trade operations, data operations, compliance operations, or technology-related role, preferably within the investment management industry
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to map a process, identify its inefficiencies, and design a practical solution
- Hands-on experience building or improving a workflow, whether through an internship, coursework, a job, or a personal project, with or without AI, and the ability to explain why the new way works better
- Sound judgment with AI, including checking outputs before relying on them and recognizing when client data or the stakes make AI the wrong tool
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, data cleanup, and reconciliation, along with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
- Self-directed learner who picks up new tools quickly, troubleshoots independently, and works through unfamiliar problems without needing step-by-step instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines across multiple clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey data findings and new workflows to compliance and client teams
- Collaborative team member with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, solution-oriented approach
- Strong interest in learning about compliance and regulatory matters affecting investment advisers, including Code of Ethics requirements under Rule 204A-1 of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
- Experience with compliance platforms such as Hadrius, MCO, or ComplySci, or with workflow automation tools, is a plus
