About the role
Description
The Automation Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation, startup, operation, optimization, and sustainment of advanced manufacturing automation systems. This role provides technical support for robotic, CNC/CAM, vision, and automated manufacturing processes while helping ensure safe, efficient, reliable operation. The position collaborates with production, maintenance, engineering, and external vendors to improve equipment performance, strengthen internal capability, and support operational excellence.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Automation Technology, Robotics, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience supporting industrial automation systems in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience programming or troubleshooting robotic systems and/or CNC equipment is preferred.
- Experience supporting commissioning, startup, stabilization, or optimization of manufacturing equipment is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with automation vendors and contractors is preferred.
