About the role
Position Summary Maranatha Christian Academy is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach for the spring 2027 season who is passionate about developing student-athletes on and off the field. The assistant coach will support the head coach’s vision and help foster a Christ-centered team culture that emphasizes character, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with practices, games, player development, and team activities.
- Support the head coach’s coaching philosophy, program goals, and expectations.
- Model Christian values and promote character, accountability, and sportsmanship.
- Maintain positive communication with players, families, and coaching staff.
- Follow all school, athletic department, conference, and MSHSL policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the coaching staff and athletic department to support the mission of MCA Athletics.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to MCA’s Christian mission and the development of student-athletes.
- Previous baseball coaching experience preferred.
This is a seasonal, temporary position with no benefits offered.
