About the role

About Rivet
Rivet is an American company building integrated task systems — fusing hardened hardware with software, sensors, AI, and networking — for industrial workforces and defense personnel. We create capabilities that multiply the effectiveness of every individual and withstand the world’s toughest environments.

We serve the people who build, operate, maintain, and defend our way of life. From technicians and engineers to first responders and service members, they embody the hard work, ingenuity, and meritocratic values that drive Western prosperity. Yet too often they are forced to rely on outdated tools that fail under modern pressures. Rivet exists to reset that priority.

At Rivet, you’ll join a mission-driven team that fuses disciplines to deliver decisive outcomes where they matter most. Whether shaping our technology, strengthening our partnerships, or building our culture, every role here contributes to equipping the front lines with the modern systems they deserve.

Work Authorization Requirement: Due to the nature of our business and compliance with federal regulations, all candidates must be a "U.S. Person". Upon hire, you will be required to provide documentation verifying your status as a U.S. Citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Summary

We're looking for a Brand & Content Producer to shape how Rivet shows up visually, everywhere. You'll be our visual storyteller, shooting the photos and video and creating the content and brand assets that show what Rivet builds and the frontline workers we support: technicians on a tarmac, maintainers in a depot, soldiers in the field.

Rivet speaks to Army leaders, defense professionals, policymakers, industrial customers, partners, investors, and future hires. You'll keep the brand consistent across all of them while adapting the story to each one.

This is a hands-on, high-output role on a small Marketing & Communications team, reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager. You'll own content from shoot to publish and be a core member of the team, supporting everything from social media, events, and the website to press and partner announcements, merch design, and internal comms. If you're a strong videographer, photographer, and editor who can turn complex technology into images and stories anyone understands, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Content production

  • Be Rivet's go-to photographer and videographer: capture photos and videos in the field, on the factory floor, at customer sites, and at events, often in tough, fast-moving conditions.

  • Produce a steady flow of original content for social, the website, sales, and recruiting, from brand reels and product demos to event recaps and customer stories.

  • Plan and run shoots end to end: concept, shot list, lighting, audio, and on-site direction of people who aren't professional talent.

  • Edit and deliver finished, ready-to-use assets in a variety of formats and aspect ratios.

  • Build and maintain Rivet's library of original photography and b-roll.

Brand, design, and social

  • Design branded materials such as one-pagers, slides, printed collateral, and company merchandise, and refresh website visuals as pages and news go live.

  • Support Rivet's day-to-day social media across LinkedIn, Instagram, and X: scheduling, posting, and engaging with our community.

  • Write short copy for posts and materials in Rivet's voice: grounded, direct, and focused on the people doing the work.

  • Keep Rivet's look consistent online, in print, and in person, for every audience, from Army leaders and policymakers to industrial customers, investors, and future hires.

Events and marketing support

  • Help plan and design Rivet's presence at conferences and trade shows such as AUSA and SOF Week, from the booth to on-site photo and video coverage.

  • Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager on launches, announcements, campaigns, and ongoing marketing needs.

  • Manage outside designers, printers, and vendors to deliver on time and on budget.

  • Follow approval workflows for sensitive content, including government, customer, and partner sign-off.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience creating content for social media, brand, or marketing, in-house or at an agency.

  • A portfolio that shows social content, short-form video you shot and edited, and design work.

  • Strong video editing skills in tools such as Premiere Pro.

  • Solid design skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or Figma or Canva.

  • Photography skills. Preference for field, factory, or industrial settings.

  • The ability to turn technical subjects into clear and compelling human stories.

  • Proven ability to own projects end to end and manage several deadlines at once with little oversight.

  • Comfortable working on site, including at events, and willing to travel for conferences (roughly 15–20%).

  • Must be a U.S. Person.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, industrial, hardware, or deep-tech companies.

  • Motion graphics or animation skills (After Effects or similar).

  • Familiarity with website CMS builders such as Turnstile, Webflow or WordPress.

  • Experience with event marketing or live social coverage at conferences.

  • Experience with social scheduling and analytics tools.

  • Military service, or experience with the people and frontline work Rivet serves.
