About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Present menus, answer questions, and provide knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations.
- Accurately take guest orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and according to established service standards.
- Monitor tables to anticipate guest needs and ensure a positive dining experience.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management when appropriate.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and workspaces.
- Complete opening, closing, and side-work assignments.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, daily specials, and beverage programs.
- Comply with all alcohol service regulations and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with managers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, and culinary team members.
- Adhere to EOS Hospitality standards for service, safety, appearance, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant serving experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Experience in upscale casual, resort, or high-volume dining environments.
- Food Handler Certification.
- Responsible Vendor Certification.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and stooping.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely.
- Ability to work in a busy restaurant setting.
