Are you an independent business owner looking to put your real-world expertise to work in the development of artificial intelligence? This freelance opportunity allows experienced entrepreneurs and business operators to contribute directly to the evaluation and improvement of AI-powered commerce tools. You will test digital platforms, assess local search accuracy, and review how AI systems represent real businesses and their services. By sharing practical insights from your day-to-day operations, you will help make digital tools more accurate, relevant, and useful for local merchants. The project offers a flexible, remote working environment where your industry knowledge and analytical skills can make a meaningful impact. Accountabilities

Test digital merchant tools: Independently evaluate new platform features, digital storefront solutions, and AI-powered recommendations designed to support local business management and customer engagement.
Audit business profiles and search results: Review AI-generated business descriptions, local search results, and mapping integrations to verify their accuracy against actual business operations.
Provide structured feedback: Document detailed, actionable observations about usability, relevance, and the practical value of digital tools for local businesses.
Identify inaccuracies and anomalies: Detect and report cases where AI systems misrepresent business categories, services, opening hours, or local market characteristics.
Evaluate user experience: Assess digital workflows from a merchant's perspective, highlighting usability issues, friction points, and opportunities for improvement.
Contribute industry expertise: Apply firsthand knowledge of business operations to benchmark AI performance and help improve the accuracy and reliability of digital commerce systems.
Deliver independent assessments: Complete evaluations autonomously and provide clear, evidence-based feedback in accordance with project guidelines and deliverable requirements.

Requirements:

Business ownership or management experience: Demonstrable professional experience as an active owner, operator, or primary manager of a business in the food and beverage, hospitality and lodging, local services, or retail sectors.
Verified Google Business Profile: Current ownership or active management of a verified Google Business Profile associated with your business is mandatory.
Operational business knowledge: A strong understanding of day-to-day business activities, customer engagement, local search visibility, and digital storefront management.
Analytical and communication skills: Ability to identify technical inaccuracies, explain user experience issues, and provide clear, structured, and actionable feedback.
Attention to detail: A meticulous approach to reviewing business information, digital workflows, search results, and consumer-facing representations.
Independent working style: Ability to manage assignments autonomously, follow evaluation guidelines, and deliver consistent, high-quality results remotely.
Digital proficiency: Comfort using online platforms, business listings, mapping tools, and digital commerce technologies.
Local market expertise: Familiarity with the specific needs, practices, and nuances of your business sector and geographic market.
Equipment and connectivity: Access to a secure computer and reliable, high-speed internet connection to complete project assignments.
