About the role
Founded in 1875, Heartland Family Service exists to strengthen individuals and families at every stage of life. Through more than 40 programs across 20 locations in east central Nebraska and southwest Iowa, we address complex community challenges including mental health, substance use, child welfare, domestic violence and sexual assault, human trafficking, homelessness, and poverty.
Our mission is to empower people to achieve personal growth, lasting safety, and stability through connected care. This work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach and a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. We recognize the impact of trauma on both those we serve and our workforce, and we intentionally foster a supportive, collaborative environment that promotes resilience and growth.
We do not just provide services; we create pathways to healing and lasting change. Guided by evidence-based practices and a shared purpose, our teams work every day toward our vision of a resilient community where everyone can contribute and belong.
This is the work that matters, for the people we serve and for the communities we call home.
