CASUAL - Sports Coach

The Durham University Student Experience are currently looking to recruit a number of sports coaches for the 2026/2027 academic year.

We’re building a coaching team with strengths across multiple sports, and we’re open to coaches from any sporting background. Whether you specialise in team sports, individual performance, we’re interested in the experience and passion you bring. If you’re committed to helping people grow through sport, you’ll fit right in.

Job hours and work pattern will be directly agreed with the Hiring Manager.

Responsibilities

Sports Coach (Experience Durham) Grade 6

- Following training and under instruction from supervision: plan, co-ordinate and deliver coaching sessions to student athletes/teams to improve their performance and help them achieve their full potential - Evaluate performance and provide suitable feedback; - Assess strengths and weaknesses in the student athlete’s/team’s performance and identifying areas for further development; - Encourage participants to gain and develop skills, knowledge and techniques;
