About the role
JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way.
Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.
The technology partners behind JLL’s IT services, from managed support to consulting and contingent talent, shape how well our teams deliver for clients. As Category Manager, IT Services, you’ll deliver sourcing strategies across managed services, staff augmentation, systems integration and consulting, working under the direction of the Category Director. You’ll partner with IT delivery leads and business stakeholders to run sourcing events, manage supplier relationships and deliver measurable value. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll lead your sub-categories and escalate the biggest decisions to the Director.
What you’ll do
- Support the development of category strategies for IT Services, aligned with JLL’s business strategy and technology roadmap.
- Deliver sourcing and supplier negotiations across five sub-categories: IT managed services: application support and infrastructure managed services. IT staff augmentation and contingent labour. Systems integration and implementation services. IT consulting and advisory services. Application development and support services.
- Lead procurement events from request for proposal (RFP) development through bid management and commercial evaluation to contract execution, preparing contract documents and recommendations in line with JLL’s Delegation of Authority.
- Escalate strategic recommendations, and any deals or decisions above standard Delegation of Authority thresholds, to the Category Director.
- Maintain demand plans for your sub-categories, spotting opportunities to consolidate suppliers and improve rates.
- Partner with IT delivery leads and business stakeholders so sourcing activity reflects regional requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with key IT services suppliers and staffing partners, and support supply base rationalisation and the strategic supplier framework.
- Run supplier performance reviews and keep scorecards up to date, tracking compliance with contractual obligations and service levels.
- Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance and added value, keeping your savings tracker and project calendar accurate so stakeholders can see the results and renewals never lapse.
- Track market trends, labour rate benchmarks and commercial models, and support the adoption of sourcing tools, process improvements and best practice, in line with JLL procurement policies and ethical standards.
What we’re looking for
- Strategic sourcing expertise in IT services, staffing or systems integration categories.
- Experience supporting category strategies across multiple regions or business units.
- The ability to manage procurement projects from strategy through execution with moderate oversight.
- Solid commercial acumen, including contract negotiation, rate card analysis and supplier performance management.
- A track record of using AI to work faster and deliver better results.
- The ability to build effective working relationships with technology and business stakeholders, and to collaborate across procurement, IT, finance and operations.
- Sound judgement on when to decide and when to escalate.
- A relevant degree in business, supply chain, information technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with major IT services and staff augmentation providers and their commercial models. Working knowledge of labour rate benchmarking and statement of work structuring is a plus, as is experience sourcing systems integration or IT consulting engagements.
- A CPSM, CIPS or equivalent certification (or working towards one) is welcome, as is a background in corporate real estate, facilities management or professional services.
