About the role
About your new role:
As Channel Director, Security Services, you will recruit, develop and grow productive channel partners while personally leading security opportunities from discovery through close. This is a quota-carrying individual contributor role combining partner development with direct customer selling. You will build your own pipeline, work alongside partners and CommandLink account teams, and own the commercial execution needed to win.
Reporting to the General Manager, Security Services, you will help establish a repeatable security sales motion across three areas: expanding existing customers, attaching security to new CommandLink sales, and winning standalone security customers. Your partner ecosystem will include technology services distributors (TSDs) and their advisors, MSPs, MSSPs, security-focused VARs and systems integrators, and security technology alliance partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit and activate partners with active security practices, and grow established TSD and advisor relationships.
- Build joint business plans with priority partners covering revenue goals, target accounts and campaigns.
- Prospect and qualify opportunities across existing customers, new CommandLink deals and standalone security logos.
- Lead deals from discovery with CISOs and CIOs through proposal, negotiation and close, bringing in sales engineers as needed.
- Work within pricing and margin guidelines, follow deal registration rules and resolve channel conflict directly.
- Keep CRM current, forecast accurately each week and stay engaged through handoff to service delivery.
- Bring competitive and customer feedback to Product and Marketing to sharpen the security sales playbook.
- Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the success of the team and organization.
What you'll need for success:
Required
- 7+ years of B2B technology sales, including 4+ years in cybersecurity, managed security or network security channel sales.
- A record of hitting individual quota with deals you personally led to close.
- Active relationships in at least two of: TSDs and advisors, MSPs and MSSPs, security VARs and systems integrators, or security technology alliances.
- Working knowledge of MDR, EDR/XDR, SIEM, SASE, zero trust or identity security.
- Experience selling complex services to enterprise and upper mid-market buyers.
- Ability to travel regularly.
Nice to Have
- Experience building a channel program or security practice from an early stage.
- Background selling SD-WAN, SASE or network services alongside security.
- Existing relationships with security vendors' channel teams.
