About Family Promise
Family Promise is the nation's leading nonprofit dedicated to preventing and ending family homelessness. Through our national federated network of nearly 180 locations, Family Promise mobilizes community stakeholders to provide prevention and shelter services, housing stabilization services, and affordable permanent housing to families with children in a housing crisis.
As the organization enters its next chapter of growth and national impact, we are seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead philanthropic revenue growth, deepen donor and partner relationships, and build the team and systems needed to sustain ambitious fundraising goals.
The Opportunity
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) leads Family Promise National’s philanthropic growth strategy and serves on the executive leadership team. Reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with the Board of Trustees, Affiliates, and organizational leaders, the CDO sets fundraising direction, personally cultivates major donors and partners, and directs significant campaigns.
This is a growth-oriented leadership role that combines strategy with hands-on relationship building and disciplined execution. The CDO supervises the Development department (currently six staff members, with growth expected) and is accountable for departmental fundraising goals and budget, team performance, and the systems needed to support sustained revenue growth.
If you are energized by growing philanthropic support and advancing solutions to family homelessness, we would love to hear from you.
