About the role

Are you passionate about patient care and looking for a hands-on clinical role where you can make a real difference?

Role: Clinical Assistant (Sleep & Diagnostics)
Location: New Plymouth, NZ

We're looking for a Clinical Assistant to join our growing New Plymouth team and support the delivery of our sleep and cardiac diagnostic services. This is an ideal opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), Nursing Technician (NT), Allied Health Assistant, or similar healthcare professional who enjoys working directly with patients and wants to build their skills within a specialised diagnostic environment.

Supporting our clinicians and patients, you'll play a key role in fitting and downloading diagnostic devices, assisting with sleep studies, conducting ECGs, recording vital signs, and helping ensure patients receive an exceptional experience throughout their healthcare journey.

What's in it for you

  • An opportunity to join a fast-growing global healthcare and diagnostics organisation
  • A varied and hands-on role with direct patient interaction
  • Exposure to sleep diagnostics, CPAP therapy and cardiac monitoring services
  • Structured training and development in sleep diagnostics and CPAP management
  • The opportunity to work closely with experienced clinicians and specialists
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Ongoing learning and career development opportunities
  • The chance to contribute to meaningful healthcare outcomes for patients every day

Who we're looking for

Years of experience matter less than your attitude, capability and commitment to patient care. You're someone who:

  • Holds a qualification as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), Nursing Technician (NT), Allied Health Assistant or similar healthcare qualification
  • Has 2-3 years' experience in a healthcare, clinical or patient-facing environment
  • Enjoys working directly with patients and providing compassionate care
  • Is confident communicating with patients, clinicians and healthcare professionals
  • Has strong attention to detail and can accurately follow clinical processes
  • Is comfortable learning new technology and diagnostic equipment
  • Takes pride in delivering an exceptional patient experience
  • Is reliable, organised and able to work independently when required

Experience in sleep services, CPAP therapy, ECGs, Holter monitoring or specialist healthcare settings will be highly regarded.
