About the role
Lead the team that meets people in their hardest moments. At The Crisis Center, people walk through our doors on some of the worst days of their lives — and walk out steadier, safer, and pointed toward hope. As our Clinical Supervisor, you guide the crisis workers and therapists who make that turnaround possible.
Professionals at this level are experienced and expected to work with a minimum of supervision. You'll provide crisis intervention, assessment, and day-to day clinical leadership while leading emergency community support workers, a full-time therapist, and an on-call therapist pool. Specific project, contract, program, or office responsibilities occur at this level, and you'll work within a collaborative team environment.
Compensation: to be discussed upon interview (salary is determined by total years of relevant experience)
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, after-hours coverage only as needed, when an on-call therapist cannot cover

Why you'll want this role You lead a real team. You supervise Emergency Community Support workers, a full-time therapist, and an on-call therapist pool — and shape how they grow. Your evenings are protected. An on-call therapist pool covers after hours. You step in only when an on-call therapist can't. You're the bridge to the community. You're the go-to partner for law enforcement, hospital emergency rooms, and other key community resources. You're never on an island. A trauma-informed, collaborative team and an agency that cares for staff, not just clients. |
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assess & intervene
- Serve as the Crisis Stabilization and Resource Center's Clinical Supervisor, providing on-site crisis intervention and assessment of clients.
- Determine client needs and make recommendations and referrals to the appropriate level of care.
- Establish an intervention plan, with client participation, that specifies immediate treatment needs and follow-up.
- Handle complex cases with sound clinical judgment.
Lead & develop your team
- Supervise Emergency Community Support workers, a full-time therapist, and an on-call therapist pool.
- Hold primary responsibility for clinical supervision of assigned staff — hiring, supervision, development, performance evaluation, documentation, and QIT.
- Supervise interns and students as expected.
Run the program day to day
- Provide day-to-day clinical management for assigned programs: crisis access and coverage, staffing, fidelity, and implementing new models.
- Provide after-hours coverage only as needed, when an on-call therapist can't cover.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule, including evening and overnight availability when needed.
- Be dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
Connect clients & community
- Serve as a liaison and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies, hospital emergency rooms, and other key community resources.
- Develop and deliver presentations as needed for law enforcement and other community contacts.
- Refer clients to other Heartland Family Service programs and community services, either concurrent with services or for aftercare, and follow up to complete each referral.
- Make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible to support ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
Keep it sound & compliant
- Track and document required contract data for funder reporting, outcomes, and internal program monitoring.
- Complete all case documentation for clinical and billing purposes.
- Maintain clinical records that meet established standards of timeliness and completeness.
- Complete all required reports, statistics, and other requirements promptly and accurately.
- Abide by all specific program and agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
Bring your best
- Display a courteous and caring attitude at all times to clients, volunteers, and visitors of the agency.
- Cooperate and collaborate with program area staff, volunteers, and other agency staff.
- Develop personal and program-related skills through internal and external training, including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
- Create, maintain, and share a dynamic self-care plan.
- Perform essential functions on the company's physical work site or a remote location as needed, along with other program-related duties as assigned.
