Coffee Shop Associate (Part-Time)
Location: Malden, MA (onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Pay: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour
About the Role
Are you dependable, customer-focused, and happy working with people? As our Coffee Shop Associate, you’ll be the face of New England Coffee, running our front-of-house café and bringing our quality coffee experience to customers and employees every weekday morning.
What You’ll Do

Assist with open \ close procedures, brew and serve coffee, stock food displays, take phone orders, and ring up sales accurately.

Give every guest friendly, efficient service.

Clean and check brewing and serving equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule, and report any issues to the service team promptly.

Track inventory and order supplies so the café stays fully stocked.

Work with fellow associates and the fulfillment supervisor to refresh the café’s offerings based on trends and new products.

Follow all safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including the emergency action plan, and report injuries or unsafe conditions right away.

Cross-train to help with back-of-house e-commerce fulfillment as needed, and take on other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements:

Current MA Food Handler and Allergen certification, or the ability to complete the training.

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced team environment.

Basic computer skills.

Clear spoken and written English (Spanish is a plus).

Able to lift up to 30 lbs. and to stand, reach, climb, and bend during a shift.

Flexibility to adjust hours when business needs require.
Nice to Have
-
Customer-facing experience in a coffee shop, bakery, restaurant, or retail setting.

Experience with cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and coffee preparation.

Strong organizational skills and a quality-focused mindset.

Recent culinary or hospitality trade school graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
