Cambrian Credit Union is seeking a Commercial Services Associate to join our Business Services team.

This is an exciting introductory opportunity to launch your career in the dynamic and essential world of Commercial lending. As an Associate, Commercial Services, you will gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, risk management, and industry evaluation. You will work closely with mid-market businesses, helping them achieve their financial and operational goals through tailored lending and treasury solutions.

After completing the initial 6-10-month training and coaching period, successful candidates may progress to the role of Commercial Relationship Manager or Credit Analyst. Long-term career opportunities include positions in sales/relationship management, and risk management within Commercial Services.

In the role of Commercial Services Associate, you will:

• Learn and apply the fundamentals of commercial lending, including credit analysis, risk assessment, and industry research.
• Collaborate with Commercial Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts to support client needs and develop customized financial solutions.
• Analyze financial statements and assess borrower risk profiles to support lending decisions.
• Contribute to the preparation of internal credit presentations and documentation.
• Support the onboarding and servicing of commercial members
• Learn and apply the fundamentals of Cambrian Commercial products and service offerings to effectively communicate their features and benefits to members and co-workers.

Your Education & Experience:

• Post-secondary education in commerce, finance, economics, accounting, marketing, or business administration preferred.
• Proven track record in reading and interpreting financial statements
• Strong commitment to accuracy, member focus and results focus
• Proficient in PC applications of Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Ability to work well in a diverse environment with multiple and often changing priorities.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated interest in financial services and commercial banking.
