About the role
We are seeking a Consultant – Microsoft Fabric with strong data engineering and analytics experience to design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Fabric's data integration and transformation capabilities, strong SQL and Python skills, and an understanding of business processes within Tax, Finance, or Compliance domains. Exposure to Power BI is desirable but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and orchestrate data ingestion workflows using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory and Pipelines.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Dataflows, Pipelines, SQL, and Fabric Notebooks.
- Implement complex data transformations using Python/PySpark within Fabric Notebooks.
- Build and optimize Lakehouses, Warehouses, SQL Endpoints, and analytical data models.
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable data solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline execution, performance, and compute utilization.
- Implement and maintain OneLake governance, security, data lineage, and workspace best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Support data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to offshore teams while collaborating with onsite stakeholders.
- Contribute to solution architecture, technical documentation, and implementation best practices.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in a client-facing environment.
