Morris Health Services is seeking dependable, motivated, and compassionate Cooks to join our Dietary Services team!

As a Cook, you'll play an important role in preparing nutritious, delicious meals that bring comfort and enjoyment to our residents. This is a union-represented position covered by a collective bargaining agreement, offering established employment terms and workplace representation.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.

• Follow individualized resident dietary needs, including modified textures and therapeutic diets.

• Ensure proper food preparation, portion control, presentation, and service.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention standards.

• Monitor food temperatures, storage, and handling procedures.

• Assist with inventory, food preparation, and kitchen organization.

• Collaborate with dietary staff, nursing teams, and supervisors to ensure an exceptional dining experience.

• Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.

• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Dependable, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Commitment to providing quality meals and excellent service to residents.

• Flexibility to work multiple schedules, including rotating weekends and holidays as assigned.
