Custom Residential Carpenter

Skillforce is hiring Custom Residential Carpenters for ongoing project work in Northern Virginia region. As a Custom Residential Carpenter, you will be responsible for every phase of carpentry on high-end custom homes. You must bring your own carpentry tools and PPE.

Custom Residential Carpenter Pay:

• $40.00 per hour for experienced custom residential carpenters.
• W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.

Custom Residential Carpenter Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week, on daytime residential jobsites.
• Jobsites are high-end homes across Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Montgomery County, Maryland.
• Ongoing project work on luxury remodels and custom home projects.

Custom Residential Carpenter Responsibilities:

• Frame walls, floors, and openings for remodels and structural changes.
• Cut and frame roofs, including rafters, and work safely on roofs and ladders.
• Install soffit, fascia, and exterior trim to a clean, weathertight finish.
• Build and install custom built-ins with tight, scribed fits.
• Install five-piece crown molding and other built-up interior trim.
• Run interior trim, casing, baseboard, and doors to a high-end finish standard.
• Keep the work area clean and protected inside high-end homes.

Custom Residential Carpenter Qualifications:

• Experience across all phases of residential carpentry, from rough framing through finish trim.
• High-end or custom home experience is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding, and able to lift heavy materials.
• Must bring your own standard carpentry tools and personal protective equipment.
• Reliable transportation to jobsites across Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
