Deli Salads Job Description:

The Golden Hog is seeking a full-time Deli Salads associate to prepare fresh salads, deli salads, and ready-to-eat foods for our Deli Department. This role is responsible for preparing ingredients, following established recipes, mixing and portioning salads, packaging and labeling finished products, and maintaining high standards of freshness, food quality, presentation, and food safety.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food preparation environment. This position also supports daily deli salad production, proper food storage, product rotation, restocking, and cleaning to ensure an efficient and well-maintained preparation area.

Requirements

Deli Salads Qualifications:

• Previous experience in salad preparation, deli food production, kitchen prep, or a similar foodservice role preferred.
• Experience preparing fresh salads, vegetables, and ready-to-eat foods according to recipes and quality standards preferred.
• Ability to wash, chop, mix, portion, and prepare ingredients using knives and basic kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, proper food storage, labeling, and product rotation.
• Ability to maintain consistent product freshness, quality, and presentation.
• Willingness to assist with packaging, restocking, cleaning, and other Deli preparation duties as needed.
• Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Availability to work rotating shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
