The Director leads the technology strategy, roadmap, and delivery for VF’s Global Central Finance, Group Reporting and Consolidation, Financial Planning, and Americas SAP environment (Polaris). Partnering with senior Finance and Technology leaders, this role aligns investments, governance, and global product teams to deliver an integrated Finance technology ecosystem supporting VF’s One Finance strategy.
The Director drives standardized processes, reliable financial data, and modern planning and reporting capabilities across brands and regions through SAP S/4HANA, Central Finance, Group Reporting, and SAP Analytics Cloud/Business Data Cloud, balancing transformation priorities with operational stability.
Key Responsibilities
Global Corporate Finance Technology Strategy
- Own the integrated, multi-year technology strategy and roadmap across Central Finance, Group Reporting and Consolidation, Financial Planning, and Polaris, aligned with One Finance priorities.
- Simplify fragmented platforms and standardize Finance processes across brands and regions, balancing global scalability with Americas operational needs.
Central Finance & Global Finance Backbone
- Lead Central Finance’s evolution from foundational implementation to global enablement of general ledger, receivables, payables, intercompany, fixed assets, close, cash, credit, treasury, cost allocations, and vendor payments.
- Direct integration across regional ERPs, Central Finance, Group Reporting, planning, data and analytics platforms, and third-party Finance applications.
Group Reporting, Consolidation & Enterprise Reporting
- Lead Group Reporting and global consolidation modernization, enabling centralized consolidation of regional financial information with appropriate controls.
- Partner with Corporate Accounting, Controllership, FP&A, and regional Finance to deliver harmonized enterprise reporting and decision support.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Lead the transition from BPC to a modern global planning platform supporting strategic and annual operating plans, forecasting, workforce and capital planning, scenario modeling, performance management, and KPI reporting.
Americas SAP / Polaris Technology Leadership
- Oversee Polaris technology priorities, modernization, and integration in partnership with Americas Finance and Technology, including its planned migration to RISE following hardware depreciation.
- Align Polaris decisions with global Finance architecture and process standards, minimizing unnecessary regional customization.
Executive Business Partnership & Governance
- Advise senior leaders across Corporate Finance, Controllership, FP&A, regional Finance, Treasury, and Tax, building alignment on shared priorities and technology investments.
- Establish portfolio governance and investment prioritization, with clear recommendations on sequencing, dependencies, risks, and measurable business outcomes.
Data, Analytics & AI
- Partners with Data and Analytics teams to establish governed master data, consistent financial structures and KPI definitions, and near-real-time information across brands and regions.
- Advance self-service analytics, executive reporting, and practical AI and automation opportunities in planning, predictive forecasting, scenario modeling, and Finance processes.
Transformation & Product Delivery
- Lead global product teams, cross-functional transformation workstreams, implementation partners, and vendors, with clear accountability for architecture, delivery, operational excellence, and value realization.
- Direct organizational change, training, adoption, legacy-platform decommissioning, and operational transition to new Finance capabilities.
- Manage cross-platform dependencies and program, operational, vendor, data, cybersecurity, and financial-control risks, including SOX compliance.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance Technology, SAP Finance, enterprise applications, product management, or Finance transformation, including leadership of enterprise-scale platforms or programs.
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, with experience in SAP Central Finance and/or Group Reporting strongly preferred.
- Experience with enterprise planning and performance-management technology such as SAP Analytics Cloud Planning, Anaplan, Oracle EPM, Adaptive Planning, or comparable platforms.
