The Director, Delivery & Deployment Excellence will lead regional business readiness, solution quality, deployment strategy, and adoption for enterprise resource planning (ERP) upgrades and enhancements across the Americas. This senior leadership role bridges global technology programs and regional business operations, ensuring complex transformations deliver measurable and sustainable results. You will oversee the entire deployment lifecycle, from requirements assessment and testing to cutover, go-live, stabilization, and ongoing operations. Working closely with commercial, finance, customer service, distribution, and supply chain teams, you will drive process standardization, strengthen operational efficiency, and improve the value of technology investments. You will influence strategic decisions, align regional priorities with global objectives, and build consistent deployment practices across multidisciplinary teams. This is an opportunity to shape enterprise transformation in a dynamic, technology-driven healthcare environment while exploring AI-enabled solutions that enhance business processes and employee productivity.
Accountabilities:
- Lead regional delivery and deployment strategy: Define and execute business readiness, solution quality, testing, deployment, and adoption strategies across the Americas, aligning regional execution with the global ERP roadmap and transformation objectives.
- Drive cross-functional business alignment: Partner with Order Management, Distribution, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Global Trade Services, and commercial teams to assess requirements, establish process scenarios and acceptance criteria, and prioritize regional needs.
- Optimize business processes: Lead regional process assessments, identify opportunities to simplify and standardize workflows, and sponsor improvements that reduce inefficiencies, increase productivity, and maximize technology investment value.
- Balance regional and global priorities: Evaluate trade-offs between local business requirements and enterprise-wide process standards, providing clear recommendations and escalating strategic decisions when necessary.
- Oversee testing and solution quality: Establish regional testing and readiness approaches within the global program framework, covering system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, defect management, retesting, and business sign-off.
- Manage business readiness and deployment governance: Define readiness criteria and maintain visibility into milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, action plans, and overall deployment health to support informed and timely decisions.
- Lead cutover, go-live, and stabilization: Develop and coordinate deployment plans with business and technology stakeholders, ensuring controlled transitions, effective issue resolution, and sustainable handovers into business-as-usual operations.
- Coordinate change management and adoption: Oversee stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and organizational readiness in collaboration with functional leaders and change management teams.
- Influence stakeholders across the organization: Connect global program leadership, regional business executives, technology teams, and commercial entities to build alignment and protect delivery commitments and business outcomes.
- Establish consistent deployment standards: Collaborate with regional counterparts to share lessons learned, develop reusable deployment playbooks, and implement repeatable practices that strengthen future transformation initiatives.
- Monitor post-deployment performance: Track operational outcomes following go-live, sponsor timely resolution of emerging issues, and incorporate lessons learned into continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion AI-enabled business innovation: Identify and develop opportunities to leverage AI solutions built around ERP capabilities to improve regional process performance, operational efficiency, and employee productivity.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Enterprise transformation experience: Substantial experience in ERP delivery, enterprise transformation, business deployment, testing, or change execution, preferably involving complex regional or cross-regional programs.
- End-to-end business process expertise: Strong understanding of interconnected commercial, customer service, finance, distribution, and supply chain operations, with the ability to assess dependencies and optimize cross-functional workflows.
- Deployment lifecycle management: Demonstrated experience leading business readiness, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization for large-scale technology implementations or business process transformations.
- ERP platform knowledge: Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or a comparable enterprise resource planning platform is highly desirable.
- Governance and performance management: Ability to use data, milestones, readiness indicators, risk assessments, and performance measures to evaluate program health and guide decision-making.
- Stakeholder management and influence: Strong ability to build alignment and influence decisions across functions, cultures, regions, and time zones, including in environments where direct authority is limited.
- Strategic thinking and practical judgment: Ability to translate broad program objectives into clear priorities, actionable regional plans, and effective solutions while balancing local requirements with enterprise-wide standards.
- Problem-solving and accountability: Confidence in challenging assumptions, raising risks early, resolving complex delivery issues, and maintaining focus during periods of uncertainty and competing priorities.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and coordinate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement mindset: Demonstrated interest in process optimization, standardization, technology-enabled productivity, and the sustainable adoption of new ways of working.
- Preferred certifications: A relevant program management, project management, software testing, or change management certification is an advantage.
- Industry experience: Experience in regulated healthcare, medical devices, or similarly complex operational environments is beneficial.
- Innovation and adaptability: An interest in identifying emerging AI capabilities and applying them to enterprise systems and business processes to deliver measurable improvements.
