Do you enjoy working in a kitchen environment and making a difference in the lives of seniors? Alto Tavares is looking for a dependable, full-time Kitchen Assistant to join our dining team.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00am – 3:00pm
What You’ll Do
Assist with meal preparation, plating, and service for our residents
Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
Follow food safety and sanitation standards
Support the culinary team in delivering a warm, high-quality dining experience
Requirements
No certifications required
Some kitchen or food service experience preferred

The primary responsibility of the Kitchen Assistant is to set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties.
Areas of Responsibility
Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils.
Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment.
Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen.
Help contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service.

Required Qualifications
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Must have an awareness of safety practices.
Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
The Community is a drug free workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred.
