About the role
Part Time | Holland, Michigan | Flexible Schedule Based on Tour Bookings
CraftCo is a Holland, Michigan-based premium spirits company and home to a portfolio of distinctive brands, including Coppercraft Distillery, Joseph Magnus, Thatcher’s Organic, Flying Ace, and Fox & Oden. Our team creates exceptional spirits and memorable experiences that build lasting connections with people in the markets and communities we serve.
Good spirits have a story. Help us share ours! As a Distillery Tour Guide at CraftCo Distillery & Social House in Holland, you’ll welcome curious guests, take them onto the production floor, and bring the craft behind each bottle to life. From a first taste to filling a bottle to take home, you’ll help guests discover what they enjoy and leave with a story worth sharing. If you enjoy meeting people, speaking to a group, and making everyone feel welcome, we’d love to meet you.
You’ll report to the Director of Distillery Operations and receive company provided training on our products, tours, our ‘Fill Your Own’ feature, and safe service practices. This is a part time, as needed opportunity, initially expected to average about 1 to 4 hours per week based on bookings. You’ll coordinate tour availability through FareHarbor software with operations. The Social House is open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and tours can also take place outside those hours as demand and your availability allow, in coordination with operations.
• Give guests an inside look at the distillery, sharing our brand stories and explaining how our spirits are made in a way that is interesting and easy to follow.
• Make guests feel welcome from the start. Confirm reservations, handle check in, answer questions, and process tour payments and bottle purchases.
• Lead guided tastings that help guests explore flavors, learn something new, and find a spirit they enjoy, whether they are new to bourbon or already enthusiasts.
• Introduce guests to our ‘Fill Your Own’ feature and guide them through filling a bottle from a selected barrel using approved procedures, then help complete their purchase.
• Keep tour availability and bookings current in FareHarbor, and communicate scheduling changes and guest needs with the Director of Distillery Operations.
• Get spaces and supplies ready before guests arrive, then clean up and reset the tour, tasting, and ‘Fill Your Own’ areas for the next experience.
• Work with operations to guide guests safely through production areas, follow approved routes, and keep groups clear of restricted spaces and equipment.
• Follow company procedures and applicable laws for age verification, responsible alcohol service, sanitation, and safety, speaking up promptly about concerns or incidents.
• Keep accurate time and sales records, share guest feedback, and bring ideas for making tours even better.
