About the role
From everyday product updates and large-scale migrations to time-sensitive outages, you will help shape how fellow employees learn about, prepare for and get support during technology changes. Is that you?
As a Communications Manager on the Global Technology Communications team at JPMorganChase, you’ll help employees understand and adapt to technology changes—from major migrations to urgent service interruptions. You’ll turn complex information into clear, useful communications and work with partners across the organization to support a better employee experience.
We need a dynamic communications professional ready to take on the challenge of planning, drafting and executing change and incident communications for our employee-facing technology applications, platforms and systems.
You’re an organized, creative communicator who works well across teams, thinks strategically and stays calm when priorities change. You bring a practical, collaborative approach and are comfortable suggesting new ideas.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage requests, reviews, approvals and distribution for employee technology communications.
- Write and deliver communications about technology changes, updates, outages and awareness campaigns across channels such as email, intranet, digital signage and video.
- Partner with incident, product and regional teams to issue timely notices, status updates and resolution messages.
- Plan communications for major technology programs and migrations, coordinating audiences, timing and channels to support readiness and adoption.
- Maintain incident communications playbooks and templates, using review findings to improve clarity and response.
- Build partnerships across technology, program, product, employee experience and communications teams to align messages and timing.
- Share regular updates with technology stakeholders, track results and identify ways to improve communications and processes.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum 7+ years of communications experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field.
- Experience developing enterprise communications, advising senior leaders and delivering cross-functional plans.
- Experience with incident, crisis or urgent communications, including writing accurately under pressure.
- Ability to explain complex technology in clear, actionable language.
- Strong organization and project-management skills, including managing multiple requests and deadlines.
- Sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently and build relationships across a large, matrixed organization. Occasional off-hours support during incidents may be required.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Communications experience in technology or financial services.
- Knowledge of technology products and platforms, with curiosity about emerging tools.
- Familiarity with change management for large technology programs and migrations.
- Multimedia or design skills, including experience with Adobe Photoshop or Premiere Pro.
