About the role
About the Role:
The Engineer III position will fulfill the role of a Customer Premises Platform Engineer who certifies, deployment readiness, and lifecycle support for customer-premises platforms. This role validates new capabilities, defines production standards, supports migration programs, resolves platform issues, and drives automation to improve speed, reliability, and scale.
What You'll Do:
Certify customer-premises hardware, software, and service capabilities for production use
Validate end-to-end service designs, including access connectivity, customer edge equipment, powered devices, and in-building connectivity options
Define deployment models, provisioning standards, hardware requirements, support procedures, and production handoff requirements
Perform lab testing, field validation, issue tracking, and readiness reviews from concept through production
Support customer migration and service-conversion programs that depend on CPE platform capabilities
Troubleshoot routing, DNS, proxy, session persistence, access control, and service transaction issues
Partner with Cybersecurity, IT, Network, Operations, Product, Marketing, and vendors to remove blockers and secure approvals
Drive automation across file processing, provisioning, workflow execution, and operational handoffs
Produce clear documentation, test plans, certification results, operational procedures, and leadership updates
Track risks, dependencies, blockers, action items, and readiness metrics through closure
Do You Have?
Strong background in CPE engineering, broadband access, managed connectivity, telecommunications, or ISP environments
Hands-on experience with remote device management, provisioning workflows, customer equipment lifecycle support, and production deployment standards
Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, DNS, proxy, session handling, access control, and cloud-security environments
Ability to perform structured testing, certification, documentation, change readiness, and operational handoff
Strong cross-functional execution skills with Engineering, IT, Security, Operations, Product, and external partners
Clear communication, strong ownership, and the ability to turn ambiguity into executable plans
Even Better:
Experience supporting CPE certification, customer migration, service conversion, or CPE refresh programs
Familiarity with security reviews, exception requests, change management, and operational readiness controls
Scripting or automation experience for workflow improvement, API integration, or operational tooling
Measures of Success:
CPE platforms are certified, documented, secure, supportable, and production ready
Deployment standards are repeatable, approved, and operationally clear
Migration workflows run reliably, at scale, and with minimal manual effort
Platform issues are resolved quickly without disrupting customer transactions
Automation improves speed, consistency, and operational efficiency
Minimum Requirements:
College degree in Engineering or a related field and 3-5 years professional level experience; or 7+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
The starting compensation range for this job is $77,800 to $102,200. Our compensation approach s designed to be fair and competitive. Pay for this role is based on factors such as your experience, skills, education and location.
