Fabrication Machinery Operator

Goldbug Manufacturing is seeking a Fabrication Machinery Operator to produce high-precision parts using CNC-based fabrication equipment, such as waterjets, laser cutters, tube lasers, and press brakes. The ideal candidate has experience operating fabrication machinery, reading mechanical drawings, and inspecting finished parts for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC-based fabrication machinery to transform raw materials into high-precision parts
• Perform machine calibration to ensure equipment produces parts accurately
• Optimize nesting layouts to use materials efficiently and reduce waste
• Load raw materials into fabrication equipment and unload parts following processing
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints to understand part dimensions and fabrication requirements
• Use calipers and micrometers to inspect finished parts and verify accuracy against specifications

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be a US Citizen
• At least one (1) year of experience operating fabrication machinery, such as a waterjet, laser cutter, tube laser, or press brake
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
• Strong math skills to work with measurements and dimensions throughout the fabrication process
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers to perform precision inspections
• Ability to meet the physical demands of operating fabrication machinery and loading and unloading materials

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic familiarity with CAD/CAM software
• Experience operating forklifts or hoists to move materials
