Position Summary
You Help Make Every School Day Possible.
Before children can learn, classrooms have to be safe, clean, functional, and ready. As a Facilities Specialist, your work behind the scenes helps make it possible for Head Start classrooms to open their doors each day and for teachers to focus on what matters most: serving children and families.
This is a hands-on position involving building maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, groundskeeping, and facility setup. From electrical, plumbing, and HVAC to carpentry, painting, flooring, and landscaping, you’ll help keep our facilities operating safely and reliably.
The work can be physically demanding and requires flexibility, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently. But at the end of the day, you can see the difference your work makes. When our classrooms are ready, our teachers can teach, our children can learn, and our families can count on us.
