Faculty.Professor.Professor - Full-Time

The Department of Pathology is recruiting an Assistant professor (5 years’ experience), Associate Professor (6-10 years of experience) or Professor (10+ years of experience) appointment stream, faculty position for the Division of Liver, Kidney, Cardiac, Small Bowel, and Transplantation Pathology.

Experience in a large hospital-based native and allograft liver and kidney pathology service is desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to varied divisional diagnostic, research, and educational activities. The position will be responsible for reporting on allograft and native liver, heart, small bowel, and kidney biopsies. Academic development will focus on scientific areas related to clinical interests and responsibilities.

The division is fully equipped to study spatial and general tissue proteogenomic profiling, multiplex labeling, image analysis, and practical AI applications related to clinical responsibilities. Interest in these areas is an advantage; unique opportunities exist to participate in multicenter study tissue analyses using the above approaches.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess:

· M.D degree

· Board certification in Anatomic Pathology

· Eligibility for Pennsylvania medical licensure is required

Preferred qualifications include:

· Fellowship training in a relevant pathology subspecialty

Salary and benefits:

· Salary will commensurate with experience

· Full-time faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh as well as a participant in the UPMC/UPP faculty practice plan
