Job Description
NetImpact Strategies seeks a Federal Growth Executive to expand our business across federal civilian agencies. NetImpact combines established federal delivery experience with commercial software innovation to help agencies modernize systems and improve mission outcomes.
This executive will be accountable for generating and closing new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and converting NetImpact’s contract vehicles and capabilities into revenue. The role requires a hands-on leader who can identify customer needs, shape opportunities, demonstrate solutions, and lead pursuits from initial engagement through contract award.
Responsibilities
- Deliver growth: Own federal civilian sales goals, building a qualified pipeline and converting opportunities into contract awards and revenue.
- Develop agency relationships: Establish and strengthen relationships with mission leaders, program offices, CIO organizations, acquisition officials, and industry partners.
- Own the sales cycle: Lead prospecting, qualification, customer discovery, solution positioning, demonstrations, pursuit coordination, negotiation, and close.
- Position NetImpact’s solutions connecting NetImpact’s modernization and technology solutions to customer priorities, funding, and mission outcomes.
- Lead customer engagements: Independently present NetImpact’s value proposition and conduct compelling product demonstrations, bringing in technical specialists as opportunities require.
- Shape opportunities: Engage customers early to understand operational challenges, modernization objectives, acquisition plans, and decision criteria.
- Turn contract access into awards: Develop actionable sales strategies that use NetImpact’s existing contracts, contract vehicles, and partner relationships to create paths to purchase.
- Maintain sales discipline: Keep opportunity records, next steps, forecasts, and competitive intelligence current in the company’s CRM.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Seven or more years of progressive experience in federal business development, sales, or growth, with substantial experience serving civilian agencies.
- Demonstrated success personally leading opportunities through the full sales cycle and closing federal contracts.
- Experience selling enterprise software, technology services, or modernization solutions involving multiple stakeholders and complex acquisition processes.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear customer benefits and a compelling business case.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Established relationships within federal civilian agencies, including VA, GSA, State, DoJ, Commerce, or other target accounts.
- Experience selling commercial software and AI-enabled modernization solutions to government customers.
- Experience with application modernization, workflow automation, case management, or mission-system transformation.
Measures of Success
Success will be measured by contract awards and revenue growth.
This role is probably not for you if:
- You expect a large support team to handle the day-to-day execution. While we have dedicated proposal, graphics, and research resources, you must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting things done yourself.
- You need someone else to drive the sales process. We expect you to take end-to-end ownership of opportunities, proactively move deals forward, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- You are more comfortable with strategy than hands-on execution. We value strategic thinking, but success in this role requires translating ideas into action, managing details, and personally driving results.
