About the role
Diligent’s robot, Moxi, delivers medications, lab samples and supplies in hospitals across the US so nurses can spend more time with patients. As a Field Application Specialist, you’re the person who brings Moxi to life at a new hospital: you map the building, teach the robot to use doors and elevators, train staff, and get the site to go-live. It’s hands-on robotics in a real environment, with a clear path to grow into a Field Application Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Install, set up and test Moxi robots at new and expanding hospital sites
- Map hospital floors (mapping, stitching, uploading to Semantic/Fetchcore/Firestore) and train robots on doors and elevators
- Diagnose and fix hardware and software issues; escalate complex problems with clear, detailed tickets
- Monitor robots remotely and onsite during launches and keep implementation tasks on schedule
- Support live fleets as they grow: map updates, adding robots, expanding to new units, door/elevator retraining
- Train hospital staff and leaders, and build trust with nursing, pharmacy, lab and facilities teams
- Support network and site surveys for new hospitals
- Write and maintain training materials, guides and procedures so launches are faster and repeatable
- Feed field learnings back to Engineering and Product
What Makes You Stand Out
Healthcare or hospital experience; prior robotics or autonomous mobile robot (AMR) deployments; scripting (Python/bash); experience training end users; field service work involving travel; familiarity with hospital vendor credentialing.
