D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a FinOps & Value Realization Lead. The FinOps & Value Realization Lead (also known as Value Realization / FinOps Lead) will help ensure investments in data, AI, cloud, platforms, and digital capabilities translate into measurable business value and sustainable economics. This role will connect financial transparency, unit economics, benefits realization, consumption management, and investment decisions so leaders can scale what works and address what does not. The ideal candidate combines financial discipline, technology fluency, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence decisions through clear evidence. Success in this role means every major investment has a tracked value case, AI and platform costs are understood per unit of work, and leaders scale or stop based on evidence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Define value-realization methods that connect priority-initiative baselines, targets, adoption, operational KPIs, and financial outcomes
- Partner with Finance, Product, and business owners to validate business cases and track realized versus expected benefits
- Establish platform and AI FinOps practices including consumption monitoring, forecasting, budgeting, unit economics, anomaly detection, and cost visibility reporting
- Analyze build, buy, partner, cloud, on-premises, and managed-service economics and communicate tradeoffs to leadership
- Create recurring portfolio reporting on investment, run cost, benefits, utilization, and scale decisions
- Validate realized benefits against approved business cases, distinguish financial savings from cost avoidance and productivity gains, and prevent duplicate attribution across initiatives
- Represent the function in cross-functional discovery, architecture, governance, operational-readiness, and continuous-improvement activities as appropriate
- Stay current on relevant data, AI, digital, software, and industry practices and apply new capabilities when they create practical business value
- Identify, shape, and pilot new opportunities where data, AI, and digital capabilities can create business value, operating with an owner's mindset and a bias toward building, testing, and learning quickly
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner
- Ability to travel overnight
