About the role
Position Description
The First Impressions + Next Steps Director is a highly relational and administratively gifted leader. This person will be responsible for recruiting, equipping, and leading our Sunday Morning volunteer teams from parking lot to the auditorium, as well as our “get to know the Ridge” environments. The focus will be volunteer development with the goal of making all who step on our campus feel welcomed and cared for.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
This person will work with and lead volunteers to host engaging environments where people are made to feel welcome. This will be done in three main ways.
1. Volunteer Leadership (50%) Recruit, train, and lead Sunday morning First Impressions Team, including:
- FI Coordinators
- Greeters
- Ushers
- Pursue Team
- Parking
- Safety
- Medical
- Communion
- Coffee
- Golf Cart
2. Administrative (30%)
- Oversee attendance keeping, prayer requests, and varying safety team functions
- Oversee relationships, communication, and scheduling Volunteers and Local Deputy Support
- Ordering various First Impression supplies
3. Next Steps (20%) Lead the processes, environments, and follow up to assimilate people from these environments into the ministries of the church:
- Connect Card Follow Up
- Connect at the Ridge
- Intro to the Ridge
- Partner with the Ridge
Qualifications
Key Competencies and Qualifications
- Mature, growing disciple with a consistent devotional life
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker, with strong communication skills Leader and multiplier of people with a love and passion for making disciples
- Proven experience in developing people and teams
- A person who thrives in fast paced environments with the ability to bring a calm presence
- Influencing team leader with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in administration
- College degree and background in hospitality preferred
