About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Fitness Trainer to join the Sports & Leisure team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Conduct fitness assessments and identify clients’ fitness levels and goals
- Create safe and effective personalized workout programs
- Demonstrate correct exercise techniques and proper use of gym equipment
- Lead individual and group fitness training sessions
- Monitor clients during workouts and correct improper exercise techniques
- Motivate and encourage clients to achieve their fitness goals
- Track clients’ progress and adjust training programs when necessary
- Provide general guidance on healthy lifestyle habits and fitness routines
- Ensure gym equipment and training areas are clean, organized, and safe
- Inspect equipment and report damaged or unsafe equipment
- Follow health, safety, and emergency procedures at all times
- Help prevent injuries by ensuring appropriate warm-ups, cool-downs, and exercise techniques
- Assist gym members with questions about exercises, equipment, and fitness programs
- Maintain accurate client training and progress records
- Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with gym members
- Promote personal training sessions, fitness classes, and other available services
- Maintain professional standards of appearance, conduct, and confidentiality
- Keep fitness knowledge current through ongoing training and professional development
About You:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fitness Trainer, preferably in a five-star hotel, resort, or premium fitness facility.
- Hold a recognized Fitness Trainer or Personal Training certification.
- Strong knowledge of fitness assessments, exercise programming, and safe use of gym equipment.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and motivational skills.
- Able to work effectively in a multicultural environment with guests of different ages and fitness levels.
