Florence - Payroll Specialist- Full Time

Long-Lewis Auto Group is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Corporate Payroll team in Florence, Alabama!

This is a great opportunity for an established payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is ready to bring their experience to a large, multi-company organization. This full-time, in-person position supports payroll operations across our dealerships and affiliated companies and plays an important role in keeping our teams running smoothly.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in high-volume payroll processing who is confident working with complex payroll information, multiple companies and locations, and important deadlines. This is not an entry-level payroll position—we’re looking for someone who can bring meaningful payroll experience to the team and get up to speed quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage high-volume payroll across multiple dealerships and affiliated companies

• Review payroll information for accuracy, including hours, earnings, deductions, adjustments, and other payroll data

• Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare payroll reports and reconciliations

• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll questions

• Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements

• Partner with Payroll, Human Resources, Accounting, and management to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing

• Manage multiple deadlines and priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive hands-on payroll processing experience is required, preferably within a large organization

• Experience with high-volume payroll processing is strongly preferred

• Experience processing payroll across multiple locations, companies, or business entities is strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, deductions, taxes, reconciliations, and payroll reporting

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required

• Experience with UKG/UltiPro/Kronos is strongly preferred

• Automotive dealership or multi-location corporate payroll experience is a plus

• HR or Accounting experience is a plus

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under deadlines

• A dependable, organized, and team-oriented approach

Schedule & Location

This is a full-time, 100% in-person position at our Corporate Office in Florence, Alabama. This position is not remote or hybrid.

Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Florence, and availability to start soon is strongly preferred.
