Food and Beverage Host | Atelier Restaurant

Job Description

Bonjour! We’re looking for our next extraordinary team member to join our Food & Beverage team as our Host at Atelier by Sofitel, supporting our breakfast and dinner services at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering exceptional, personalised service that reflects Sofitel’s luxury standards and creates memorable guest experiences.
• Welcoming and seating guests warmly, manage reservations and accommodate special requests to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Confidently present menus, recommend food and beverage selections, and identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and drive sales.
• Take accurate orders, coordinate with kitchen and service teams, and deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Maintain strong product knowledge, including menus, wine lists, allergens and dietary requirements, to assist guests with their selections.
• Take ownership of your designated section, ensuring service stations are clean, organised and fully stocked.
• Process orders and payments accurately, following all cash-handling and operational procedures.
• Uphold the highest standards of personal presentation, food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and brand compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the hotel to deliver exceptional service and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and embody Sofitel’s values of excellence, pleasure and openness.
• Undertake additional duties within your skills and capabilities as required by management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Food & Beverage or hospitality is highly regarded.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a luxury environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and professional approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Good food and beverage knowledge, with a willingness to learn and develop product expertise.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, as required.
