Job Opportunity: Forklift Operator (2nd Shift)
Location: Troy, VA
Reports To: Production Supervisor

Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
Status: Full-Time, Non-exempt

Salary Range: $41,000 – $50,000 (~$20-24 per hour)

Position Summary: Har-Tru is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our manufacturing and distribution team in Troy, VA. This position is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and organize materials and finished products throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate has previous forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This is a second-shift position with a four-day work week, Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., consisting of four 10-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to move materials and products within the manufacturing facility.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate and safe handling of materials.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with inventory management and organization of the warehouse.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Perform additional material-handling and general warehouse duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

• Typically located in an industrial space with no air conditioning or heat.
• The environment is dusty.
• Frequent outside work, with exposure to the elements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Dependable
• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to consistently work the designated second-shift schedule.
