About the role
Who we are
Melotech is revolutionizing media and entertainment. We create art through technology for humans to enjoy. In just 24 months, our work has been heard, watched and loved for over 4 billion minutes worldwide.
Founded by entrepreneur and investor Soheil Mirpour, Melotech has raised more than $16M from Drive Capital and Europe’s leading VCs: Cherry Ventures, Speedinvest and Global Founders Capital, alongside world-class angels from firms such as Spotify, Blackstone and KKR.
The internship
For summer 2027, we are looking for a small number of top performers at the world's leading universities to join us as Founders Associate Interns. This is a full-time, paid internship, with start and end dates set around your university calendar.
What you will do
As our Founders Associate Intern, you'll be a right hand to our CEO and execute our strategy across all topics and areas. You tackle the critical questions: Where is the market going and how do we position ourselves to benefit? Which data can point us into the right direction strategically? And how do we scale our internal processes and systems for maximum success? Working fully autonomously alongside our founder, your decisions will directly influence our company's trajectory and success. On a typical day, your tasks may include:
Managing high-impact projects from conception to completion across all business verticals
Preparing presentations, reports, and briefing documents while tracking KPIs and compiling performance updates
Conducting market, competitor, and investor research to identify growth opportunities and support strategic decisions
Supporting fundraising by creating pitch materials, organizing investor outreach, and maintaining partner relations
Streamlining workflows, improving operational processes, and handling recruiting at scale with the help of AI
Acting as a sparring partner for the founder in prioritizing and executing strategic projects across different areas of the business.
Who you are
You're one of the top performers at your university and a strategic operator in the making, with a sharp analytical mind. Your strength lies in translating a vision into an actionable plan while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Typically, your profile will look like this:
Are studying Business, Economics, Mathematics, or another highly analytical field at a globally top-tier university, and rank among the very best in your cohort: grades, scholarships or awards to show for it
Have stood out beyond the classroom too, for example in competitions or olympiads, in elite sport, by leading a student organization or by building something of your own
Bring internship or early professional experience, ideally at elite management consultancies, bulge bracket investment banks, Big Tech, leading PE/VC funds, or venture-backed, hyper-growth startups
Demonstrate exceptional analytical and communication skills, with a track record of turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive executive-level decision-making
Are highly autonomous: you thrive when given minimal guidance and are trusted to independently lead and deliver multiple strategic projects under tight deadlines
Excel in high-pressure, performance-driven environments, consistently delivering beyond expectations. High stakes, fast pace, and constant change energize you, not drain you
Your colleagues consistently describe you as uncompromisingly hard-working, relentlessly ambitious, and fiercely persistent: you do not stop until the result is achieved
You are obsessed with music, video, or social media. It's part of your identity, not just a hobby, and you are eager to shape the future of this industry
What makes this exciting
You join an ambitious early team, changing the world of media and entertainment. Being early means every decision you make shapes our trajectory. You're not a cog in the machine but the captain of your own ship, rewarded for performance and respected for leadership. Flat hierarchies mean that your voice matters, your ideas get implemented, and your impact is immediate.
We pay a competitive internship salary. We work remotely to give you complete freedom over your life, while meeting regularly around the world for global offsites where we strategize, bond, and push boundaries together.
What the process will look like
We review applications on a rolling basis and fill places as we go, so we recommend applying early. Please include your grades and transcript with your application, and your class rank if you have one.
Once you begin our process, you can progress from start to offer within two weeks, depending on how quickly you can move through each stage:
Intro call: a first conversation to get to know you
Online assessment: motivational questionnaire and aptitude test, to see if you are made for the job
Founder intro: a 20-minute call with our CEO
Take-home case study: a real-world project that shows your skills and working style
Founder interview: 90 minutes with our CEO and a team member, where you present and debate your case results
Offer, contract signing and onboarding
Note: As we are still in stealth, you will learn more about Melotech as you progress through the stages. By the end of the Founder interview, you will have a full grasp of our business and the details of your role.
