About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Freelance Creative Lead / Creative Strategist based remotely in Mexico.
Join a growing, multi-brand environment where creative strategy, performance marketing, and content development come together to drive measurable growth. In this role, you will shape the creative direction of three brands, transforming performance data and audience insights into actionable strategies. You will establish a structured testing framework, define creative priorities, and ensure that high-performing concepts are continuously refined and scaled. Working closely with content creators and performance marketing specialists, you will provide clear creative guidance and maintain high standards across visual execution and messaging. You will also oversee content planning, creative workflows, and resource allocation to make production more proactive and efficient. This is an opportunity to build a scalable creative system, influence brand development, and make a meaningful impact without starting from scratch.
Accountabilities:
-
Creative Strategy and Testing: Translate performance marketing data, audience insights, and market trends into actionable creative recommendations. Develop and manage a structured testing framework, from strategic hypotheses to measurable learnings.
-
Creative Concept Development: Define creative angles, hooks, formats, and audience-specific messaging. Identify new opportunities for creative experimentation and develop concepts that support business and marketing objectives.
-
Performance Analysis and Optimization: Evaluate metrics such as scroll-stop rate, click-through rate, and conversion rate to inform creative decisions. Document successful approaches and adapt or scale proven concepts across brands.
-
Creative Leadership and Quality Control: Provide final approval for creative assets, ensuring high standards in visual execution, messaging, copy, and audience relevance. Deliver clear, actionable feedback on concepts, scripts, copy, and early drafts to reduce unnecessary revisions.
-
Content Planning and Prioritization: Own the content pipeline and creative roadmap, prioritizing work according to business goals, performance insights, and team capacity. Coordinate workloads across brands and establish clear responsibilities, realistic deadlines, and efficient workflows.
-
Brand Development: Evolve the creative positioning of established brands while helping refine the creative direction and identity of a developing brand. Ensure content reflects each brand’s distinct audience, tone of voice, and objectives.
-
Creative Process Improvement: Bring greater structure to ideation, testing, performance evaluation, and iteration. Improve project organization using tools such as Asana and encourage a consistent, reliable creative process.
-
Long-Term Content Development: Develop sustainable creative concepts and explore new formats, testimonials, creator content, and community insights to support continued growth beyond individual assets or campaigns.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with content, performance marketing, and the wider marketing team to align creative decisions with business objectives and deliver consistent results.
-
At least five years of experience in creative strategy, art direction, or creative leadership, ideally with a strong focus on performance marketing and paid social creatives.
-
A proven ability to translate performance metrics—including scroll-stop rate, click-through rate, and conversion rate—into creative decisions and scalable concepts.
-
Experience building, implementing, or managing a structured creative testing framework.
-
A strong eye for creative quality and the confidence to make final decisions and approve creative deliverables.
-
Excellent understanding of messaging, copywriting, and audience relevance, in addition to visual design.
-
Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating creative teams and prioritizing work across multiple brands or projects.
-
Fluent German skills, with the ability to assess, challenge, refine, and approve German-language copy and creative concepts.
-
Very good English skills for internal communication and collaboration.
-
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working closely with content and performance marketing teams.
-
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance strategic planning and practical execution.
-
Experience in a startup, scale-up, or multi-brand environment.
-
Background in healthcare, recruitment, or another regulated or trust-based industry.
-
Practical experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, Asana, and analytics platforms.
-
Experience developing brand kits, tone-of-voice guidelines, and long-term content strategies.
-
Familiarity with user-generated content (UGC), testimonials, creators, and performance-oriented video content.
-

Flexible engagement: Choose between a freelance collaboration and permanent employment, depending on the agreed arrangement.
-
Flexible workload: Approximately 20–35 hours per week, based on mutual agreement and availability.
-
Remote-first environment: Work fully remotely.
-
Meaningful creative ownership: Take responsibility for the strategic development of three growing brands.
