Southern Health Partners is seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Tuscaloosa County Jail in Alabama.
You’ll provide essential patient care in a safe and secure correctional healthcare setting, working alongside a dedicated medical team while serving an underserved population.
What You’ll Do
As an LPN with Southern Health Partners, you’ll provide quality nursing care while working within your scope of practice.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing direct nursing care to patients
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered
- Performing nursing assessments and monitoring patient conditions
- Responding to medical needs and changes in patient status
- Collaborating with medical providers and the healthcare team
- Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Providing patient education and reinforcing treatment plans
- Following established healthcare, safety, and security procedures
- Maintaining a professional and respectful healthcare environment
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Current LPN license in the state of Alabama
- Current CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while being a dependable member of the healthcare team
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Comfortable working in a structured, safe, and secure environment
- Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
