Gastro Category Management Team Lead

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Gastro Category Management Team Lead who will take ownership of our Gastro categories and drive their performance in line with the Group strategy and business objectives.

In this role, you will combine category management, commercial responsibility and people leadership. You will shape our Gastro offering, develop strategic supplier partnerships, identify new growth opportunities and lead your team to deliver strong business results and an excellent customer experience.

What will you do?

• Develop and implement the Gastro category strategy across product portfolio, pricing, procurement and merchandising, including the development of new sales channels.

• Define and manage category KPIs, monitor performance, market trends and competition, and translate insights into concrete actions.

• Lead commercial negotiations and procurement processes, and develop joint business plans with strategic suppliers.

• Contribute to the development of store layouts and Gastro equipment to maximize sales, profitability and customer experience.

• Coordinate sales plans, forecasts and marketing activities in cooperation with Retail Marketing.

• Develop action plans for underperforming categories and products and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and HACCP standards.

• Lead, coach and develop the team, fostering collaboration, ownership and customer focus.

• Collaborate with the Group Gastro team to implement strategic projects, standards and best practices.

What do we expect?

• Bachelor's degree

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in retail, Category Management, FMCG, Food Service or a related commercial environment

• At least 2 years of leadership experience

• Experience in gastronomy, food retail, restaurants or canteens is an advantage

• Strong understanding of retail operations, commercial activities, HACCP standards and related regulations

• Proven experience in supplier negotiations and commercial partnership management

• Strong communication and leadership skills with a results-oriented and customer-focused mindset

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Fluent English

Salary: from €3,500 gross/month. The advertised salary represents the minimum guaranteed base salary for this position. The final offer will be determined individually, based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
