About the role
We are Pramac, a Generac Company, leading the evolution to more resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions.
Established in 1966, we have always evolved, expanding our product portfolio and becoming the global benchmark for the production of generators and warehouse material handling equipment. Our diverse business lines ensure the company is a leading player in a wide variety of global markets.
The Global Parts Planner, reporting directly to the International Parts Operations Manager, contributes to the development and expansion of the international parts distribution hub network, with the objective of ensuring high parts availability and a consistent customer experience across the Group’s subsidiaries and dealer network.
The role is responsible for global spare-parts demand and replenishment planning across central and regional warehouses. By analyzing the installed base, service commitments and commercial forecasts, the Global Parts Planner develops effective and actionable procurement and inventory plans, ensuring that spare parts are available at the right time and in the right locations.
The role aims to optimize inventory levels, improve customer service levels, reduce emergency shipments and logistics costs, and minimize excess inventory, while contributing to more efficient working capital management.
Key responsibilities
· Build and maintain a rolling demand forecast by part number, product family, region and hub, using historical consumption, installed base, maintenance schedules, project pipelines and seasonality.
· Define reorder points, safety stock, min/max levels and recommended stocking lists using lead time, criticality, demand variability and service-level targets.
· Coordinate replenishment plans with procurement, warehouse operations, supply chain and local parts teams; identify shortages early and propose recovery actions.
· Plan stock positioning across Italy and regional hubs, including emerging APAC, LATAM and Middle East networks; recommend intercompany transfers where commercially justified.
· Identify critical service and data-center spares, including planned-maintenance kits and long-lead-time components, and align stock recommendations with service contracts.
· Analyze backorders, excess and obsolete inventory; lead practical actions to improve inventory turns without compromising equipment uptime.
· Maintain master-data quality for planning parameters, part supersessions, lead times, stocking classifications and bill-of-material links in ERP systems.
· Publish monthly dashboards, exception reports and improvement plans for the International Parts Operation Manager and regional stakeholders.
· Collaborate with service, warranty, training, sales and OEM suppliers to incorporate known failure trends and fleet changes into stock plans.
Performance measures
· Parts fill rate against the agreed 97% strategic target, measured consistently by hub and market.
· Availability within the agreed one-week and two-day fulfillment windows; on-time in-full delivery performance.
· Backorder value, aging and recovery lead time; forecast accuracy and bias by critical category.
· Inventory accuracy, turns, excess/obsolete exposure and emergency freight expenditure.
· Planning parameter and parts master-data completeness; completion of hub stock reviews.
Required qualifications
· Degree or equivalent practical experience in supply chain, operations, industrial engineering or a related discipline.
· Approximately 4+ years of relevant experience in spare-parts planning, inventory control or demand planning in industrial equipment, power generation or comparable aftermarket operations.
· Strong Excel and ERP/MRP capability; ability to work with large datasets and explain planning decisions using clear analysis.
· Working knowledge of forecasting, safety-stock methods, lead-time variability, ABC/XYZ segmentation and inventory optimization.
· Professional English; Italian advantageous. Comfortable coordinating across multiple countries and time zones.
Preferred experience and skills
· Exposure to generator sets, engines, electrical equipment, BESS or mission-critical power applications.
· Experience with multi-site distribution, international intercompany flows, service-level agreements and parts supersession management.
· Structured, analytical, proactive and commercially aware; able to challenge poor data and align stakeholders without direct authority.
