Reporting to the Manager, Grant Programs, the Grant Finance & Compliance Coordinator plays a central role in the full lifecycle administration and financial stewardship of the organization’s grant portfolio, including federal, state, local, private, and nonprofit awards. The position integrates grant development and administration with rigorous post-award financial oversight, procurement compliance, reporting, and documentation.
Working across the Grants Management Office, Finance, Procurement, operational departments, and leadership, the Coordinator translates award requirements into sound financial and procurement practices. The position drives budget and expenditure monitoring, reconciliation, reporting, audit readiness, deliverable tracking, and the timely identification and escalation of compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Develop and coordinate grant applications through submission, including narratives, budgets, budget justifications, and required supporting documentation.
- - Lead post-award setup and administration activities, including award review, project kickoff, grant file establishment, reporting schedules, deliverable tracking, and closeout coordination.
- - Own project-level financial tracking of approved budgets, expenditures, commitments, reimbursements, available balances, and variances.
- - Monitor expenditures against approved budgets, scopes of work, funding periods, and award conditions; promptly identify, document, and escalate financial or compliance risks.
- - Partner with Finance to reconcile grant-management and organizational financial records, resolve discrepancies, and deliver accurate financial reports, reimbursement requests, and required submissions.
- - Produce financial status reports and decision-ready tracking tools that clearly communicate budget-to-actual performance, commitments, available balances, spending trends, and corrective actions needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- - Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, public administration, healthcare administration, or a related field required.
- - At least three years of progressively responsible experience in grant administration, federal or state program administration, financial administration, project management, procurement or contract administration, compliance, or a related field preferred.
- - Experience with federal or state grants, grant-funded procurement, financial monitoring, contracts, or compliance preferred.
