About the role
Join the team rewriting the rules in private markets.
Moonfare delivers what few others can: the highly sought-after funds and hidden-gem investments that go beyond what most private banks offer. Every opportunity is subjected to a ruthless vetting process; the bar is unforgivingly high. The result? Institutional-quality portfolios for investors who demand more.
Our team combines finance veterans with talent from tech, consulting, law and industries you’d never expect. Headquartered in Berlin, we operate from eight offices across Europe, the US and Asia.
If you’re ready to build what’s next in private markets, let’s talk.
Mission
Make sure every fund communication reaches the right investor at the right time, and keep the audience we can email protected and growing.
About the role
Investors invest when the right fund reaches them at the right time, and they can only hear from us if they have opted in and stay in our marketable audience. Our sends run across markets with different compliance and regulatory requirements, so a single send to everyone is never an option. You will own the email delivery calendar, audience protection, analysis and testing, and you will support the Growth Lead on wider campaigns. The scope of this role begins when someone opts in to communication through fund marketing and ends when Investor Relations takes over to complete conversion. Channel decisions, strategy and sales sit outside it. This is an associate-level role: you work independently on your own sends and seek input where a decision affects another team.
The team
The Growth team sits within Marketing and you report to Naomi, the Growth Lead. The team is accountable for the size and quality of our qualified fund marketing audience and for how well our emails perform. You work with Investments, Design, Fund Marketing and Content + Communications, and the Fund Marketing Manager and the Head of Content and Communications will be your closest partners. Investor Relations picks up where your work ends.
You will:
- Send fund marketing and content campaigns. You build each audience, decide the segmentation and apply the compliance rules of every market it covers. A send that reaches the wrong investor does not lead to an investment.
- Own the email delivery calendar. Every send planned by the teams that email our investors goes through you, and each one goes out on time.
- Protect and grow the marketable audience. You manage our net active audience, watch for what erodes it and propose ways to increase the qualified fund marketing audience. Someone who leaves the audience stops receiving our emails.
- Analyse and test. You report on email performance and run the tests that show what to change.
- Run the weekly funnel review. You bring the marketing funnel metrics, prepared with the data team, to the wider team so that everyone keeps their attention on them.
- Build lifecycle journeys. Over your first year, you design segmented nurturing and conversion journeys, starting with investors who abandon a product journey.
- Support Community + Events. You send the invitations and the nurture that follows.
- Support on paid media campaigns. You help with paid campaigns on LinkedIn and Google Ads.
- Work alongside the Growth Lead. You help Naomi with analysis and campaign planning, and with some channel management on wider campaigns.
The Next Moonfarian
- You have worked in a sales-led, data-led business. You know how marketing hands over to a sales team and you are used to decisions being checked against numbers.
- You have built and sent CRM campaigns. You bring at least two years of doing it, including product journey flows such as abandonment.
- You build audiences that respect the rules of each market. Compliance and regulation differ from one market to the next, and you segment accordingly.
- You are analytical and fluent in CRM metrics and KPIs. You can read a test result, say what it shows and propose the next test.
- You care about the detail. There is no margin for error in our sends and you check your own work before anyone else has to.
- You look for better ways to work. You use modern tools, including AI, in your own workflow and suggest improvements to routine tasks.
This role is unlikely to be a good match if you
- See an email send as a task to tick off. Here a send decides whether an investor hears from us at the right time, and the role needs someone who understands why that matters.
- Prefer to keep marketing apart from sales. Every opted-in contact is handed to Investor Relations, and the work involves Investments too.
- Expect to set strategy and choose channels from the start. Those decisions sit with the Growth Lead, and your part is the analysis and recommendations behind them.
If you feel you do not meet all of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply!
Please Note: We can only accept applications from those eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom. This is a hybrid role with office attendance required 4 days/week.
We do not accept applications sent by email. You should submit your application directly through our careers website.
Our Commitment to a Rigorous & Fair Assessment
We believe in a transparent and comprehensive evaluation process designed to understand your unique skills and potential. Our approach is a two-way street: it allows us to see if you are the right fit for Moonfare, and just as importantly, it allows you to determine if we are the right fit for you.
Our process consists of the following stages:
- Talent Acquisition Interview (Virtual): An initial conversation to discuss your experience and motivations, and for you to learn more about the role, the team, and our mission.
- Aptitude Assessment: A short, standardised assessment to understand your verbal, numerical, and abstract reasoning abilities, giving us insight into your problem-solving capabilities.
- Hiring Manager Interview (Virtual): A conversation with the Growth Lead to explore your experience in more depth and for you to learn more about the role, the team and what success looks like.
- Values & Culture Interview (Virtual): Meet with colleagues from the teams you’ll work with most closely. You’ll learn more about how we work together and ask your questions about the team, and we’ll be assessing Moonfare’s values and culture.
- Onsite Skills Assessment: This is your opportunity to showcase your skills. You will be presented with a real-world challenge relevant to the role, allowing us to see your thought process, skills, and approach in action. You’ll get to see our beautiful office space and meet more of the team.
Invest in Yourself:
- Ownership and Impact: You are empowered to bring ideas, make decisions, and see your work directly contribute to Moonfare’s success.
- Transparent Environment: We believe in open communication. You will receive regular updates on company strategy, performance against our KPIs, and key business decisions.
- Personal Growth: We support your development with an individual growth budget of £1,500 or 2% of your base salary (whichever is higher).
- Invest in Your Future: We support your long-term financial goals with a workplace pension via SmartPension, where Moonfare contributes 3% and combined employer and employee contributions reach at least 8%.
- Relax and Recharge: You start with 25 vacation days and you’ll receive one additional day for each year of tenure, up to a maximum of 30 days. Moonfare gifts two days during our annual end of year company shutdown.
- Daily Lunch: Enjoy a £12 daily lunch allowance via Deliveroo on the days you’re in the London office, delivered or ready to pick up nearby.
- Fitness and Wellbeing: Stay active with a subsidised FitnessFirst membership, with £30 covered by Moonfare each month and no joining fee, plus a monthly guest pass and company wellness events.
- Health Cover: Look after your health with private medical and dental cover through Bupa, including Select Complete Healthcare across 600 partner facilities and Dental Plan Level 2, with dependants covered up to age 24.
- Cycle to Work: Ride in tax-efficiently through our salary-sacrifice scheme via Forest, available for an eBike or eMoped.
- A Culture of Excellence: Join a team of ambitious, smart, and committed professionals who are passionate about revolutionising private market investing.
- Performance Reward: As a performance-first company, we reward strong performance twice a year, so your impact translates directly into how your pay grows - through potential base salary increases and/or bonuses.
Our Values:
- Our clients come first, Moonfare comes second, and we prioritise ourselves third - Client-Centric Focus. Putting clients first means creating value for them is essential. Placing Moonfare second signifies that our individual professional future at Moonfare depends on the company’s commercial success. Prioritising ourselves third reflects our humility in putting clients and Moonfare before personal interests.
- We pursue excellence and honor our promises - Commitment to Excellence. We hold ourselves to the highest standards, taking responsibility for our failures, and celebrating our successes. We commit to deadlines and stick to them and we learn from our mistakes.
- We are here to win and to celebrate our collective achievements - Win together. We are mission-focused and think and act like owners. We exemplify the attitude we expect and each of us commits to do what it takes to succeed.
- We foster personal growth but each of us earns our place as a Moonfarian through merit - Growth and Merit. We hire, retain, and develop exceptional people and invest in empowering them to excel. We must all earn our place at the table every day.
We understand the important role that diversity plays in our success. Different backgrounds, experiences and ideas push us further and raise the bar. We’re committed to developing an inclusive and safe culture where everyone - regardless of colour, race, religion, sex, origin, sexuality, disability, marital status, citizenship or gender identity - knows that they are an integral part of the team and can bring their full potential to their work.
